Who we are

Sisu Reading LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as Sisu Reading, provides one-on-one online reading tutoring. Hanna Erickson is the tutor. In this policy, “we” means Sisu Reading.

What we collect

• When you request a consultation: your child’s name and grade, what you tell us about their reading, your name, email address, and phone number, and how you heard about us.
• When your child is enrolled: the lesson schedule, attendance, Hanna’s lesson notes, invoices, payments, and the messages we exchange.
• Payments: card and bank details are entered with Stripe, our payment processor. We don’t see or store full card or bank account numbers.

How we use it

We use this information to reply to you, arrange consultations, plan and teach lessons, schedule, bill, and keep the records a business needs. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Lessons

Lessons take place on Google Meet. They are never recorded or transcribed. We won’t use your child’s name, image, or work publicly without your written permission.

Who helps us

We use a few service providers, and each handles only what it needs:

• TutorBird: consultation requests, scheduling, attendance, lesson notes, invoices, and the parent portal. The consultation form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam.
• Google Workspace: email, video lessons, and business documents.
• Stripe: online payments.
• Mercury: business banking and bookkeeping.
• Sevalla and Cloudflare: website hosting and security.

We may also share information when the law requires it.

This website

This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie to filter out bots, and the site’s fonts load from Google Fonts.

How long we keep it

We keep information while we’re working with your family, and afterward only as long as we need it for business, tax, and legal records. If you request a consultation and don’t enroll, you can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you or your child. Current families can reply to any email from Hanna. Anyone else can reach Hanna through the consultation form.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
